The Training Support and Human Resource Development Centre hosted a signing ceremony with a number of partners on April 8, 2022, in Hanoi to promote collaboration in the development of a startup ecosystem.
Mr. Bui Van Linh, Director of the Training Support and Human Resource Development Centre, Ministry of Education and Training (MOET-TSC), said: "Based on the functions and tasks assigned, the Center has coordinated with a number of educational units as well as corporations and businesses to exchange information and reach agreements on cooperation and the implementation of cooperation activities.”

These activities include training support, human resource supply, vocational education, student employment surveys, student internships, and graduate student recruitment, as well as activities that contribute to vocational skills education, employment, demand forecasting reports for human resource development, and training programme development trends.
Since the beginning of the year, MOET-TSC has signed cooperation agreements with nearly 30 units, including functional units of ministries, sectors, businesses, enterprises, and universities. These are reputable units that are part of the plan to develop an ecosystembecause the Center is in charge of connecting and building in the long-term development strategy.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between MOET-TSC and two units, Bach Gia Tram Ho Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company (BGTH Vietnam) and FIBO Capital Vietnam Investment Joint Stock Company (FCB), aims to promote collaboration in the development of a startup ecosystem in schools; looking for opportunities, the investment fund continues to successfully incubate potential start-up projects for students nationwide.
Specifically, for BGTH Vietnam, the two sides will implement activities such as threading for grade 9 students; vocational training programs at vocational education institutions; orienting and introducing admissions to vocational training schoolsin conformance with Prime Minister's Decision No. 522/QD-TTg dated May 14, 2018 approving the Project "Vocational education and student stream orientation in general education for the period of 2018 - 2025";coordinating human resource supply; connecting and assisting in the introduction of jobs for students.

Finding investment funds for female students' start-up projects by connecting with women's organisations both at home and abroad. Through a training programme to assist female students in gaining access to digital technology applications in order to improve their knowledge and skills, as well as perform well in their roles as wives, mothers, and parts of economic development, thus contributing to the preservation of the family's and nation's cultural heritage.
MOET-TSC will arrange and introduce students to practical internships at FBC and enterprises in the FBC ecosystem as part of the cooperation agreement with FBC. At the same time, the Center will introduce and offer university-educated or higher-level human resources to FBC.
FBC will call for investment and investment to develop a number of startup projects of potential students who have won high prizes in the national startup idea contest organized by the Ministry of Education and Training under The Prime Minister's Decision No.1665/QD-TTg dated October 30, 2017 approving the project "Supporting students to start a business until 2025." FBC implements activities related to calling for investment, investment, pin-off, commercialization, and development of projects and startup ideas of winning students proposed by TSC.
Mrs. Pham Thi Thuy, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Bach Gia Tram Ho Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company, expressed her pleasure at the signing of a cooperation agreement with the MOET-TSC and wished that after the signing ceremony, there would be truly effective cooperation, contributing to inspiring and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of the community and the younger generation.
FIBO's Deputy General Director, Ms. Kieu Thi Ngoan, stated, "Collaborating with MOET-TSC in building a startup ecosystem for students is an opportunity for FIBO to create a new development direction in the future." We hope that the two sides will be able to collaborate successfully, contributingto improving the efficiency of the startup movement and contributing to the country's overall development.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam ranked 44th out of 132 nations and economies in terms of global innovation in 2021, maintaining its lead among 34 countries with low average income.There are currently over 1,000 organisations capable of assisting start-ups, and 100% of training institutions have plans to assist students in launching businesses. According to the World Bank, Vietnam is one of the few East Asian countries investing in innovation, with the number of patents equaling or exceeding expectations. Entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity-related activities are developing rapidly, becoming more in-depth, substantial, and effective.
